Disclaimer

Well, something must have frozen over because we finally have a blog! (Is it getting colder- No, Mr. Gore, I'm not talking about global warming.) Can viewers believe their own eyes? (Try blinking a couple times just to be sure!) I've set up a family blog. (I think that I must be one of the least techno-lit gen-Xers . No need to worry about a take over from me, Mr. Gates!)

For those who are looking for a hair raising, toe twitching, bladder busting experience you might want to continue searching the black hole time vacuum that is the World Wide Web. Further more, as a visual person that tried to keep a diary in her youth, but only wrote an entire 2 lines worth, this will be the most text that you will likely get out of me and it is not Pulitzer quality for sure! So here we are the good, the bad, and the ugly...
(I'll let you decide who is who)

Heading West and Happy New Year to All!

Sorry no photos today, I know I need to recap and add some photos from August to the end of 2010.  Since we are leaving today and heading to WY and MT, I'll post and catch-up when I get back.  See you next year!

Life's a Beach...

...in Manistee Michigan that is! :)  (In typical "Savanna Fashion," I have taken my time posting these pictures.  Sorry about the wait.)  Seth said the beaches and the lake was as nice Hawaii, at least in August.  (I wouldn't know, since I've never been to Hawaii.)  It was fantastic to play on the same beaches with our tikes that Seth and I played on when we were kids when we visited the MI gang.  Everyone enjoyed the sand and our stroll on the pier; it was hard to leave such paradise!

1st Ave. Beach and Playground

Aldan sports a hat at the beach.

To was wonderful to have Merryn and the boys play at the same playground Grandma Sally took my cousin Erin and myself to when I was a little girl.
(The play equipment is even the same.)

Fun in the sun, sand and, for all of us but Aldan and Atlee, the surf!
5th Ave. Beach

Merryn loves swimming in the lake; her cousins, Aldan and Atlee did not.

Ah, this is the life!

Enjoying & exploring the Manistee pier and lighthouse.

Travels to Michigan: Hang'n Out

Two Wednesdays ago we left the "sauna" of Missouri and head north to Michigan to visit the Hendrix Gang. My brother Seth, Amanda, and Merryn also came from Montana stopping first in the Twin Cities to visit Amanda's folks. We had a great time visting all the wonderful relatives: G'ma Sally and G'pa Jer, Uncle Mark and Aunt Carol, Aunt Tony, Uncle Kim, Cousin Jeremy and Karla and their two darling kids Emily and Issac, Great Uncle Bobby, Great Uncle Sonny, Great Aunt Betty, my dad's cousin Sherry and her husband Larry!!!  Thank You all for the wonderful time and great memories!!!!  :)
P.S. Coming soon...pictures of the beaches and pier!

Extra THANKS to Uncle Mark and Aunt Carol, who moved many of their belongings, including the 2 strollers, the fire truck and wagon, to Gramps and Granny's house for our use!!!!
Which to play with 1st?

Grandma told me that this stoller, belonging to Uncle Mark and Aunt Carol, was just about the same as my dad and Uncle Mark rode in when they were Atlee's age.

While Atlee admired granny's flowers, the neighbor cat thought it would cuddle, but Altee pushed the cat away.  I think he was too warm to have a cat on his lap.
